My inspiration comes from a lifelong appreciation for practicality — and a childhood spent watching classic Westerns with my Grandad. Those heroes valued honesty, independence, and helping their neighbors. With that same American spirit, I built HBLWT around one simple idea: estate planning shouldn’t be a luxury for the wealthy — it should be a resource for everyone.

I’m Matt Rentz, a Florida Bar–licensed attorney (#1003358) and licensed Florida Real Estate Broker (#BK3455944). After more than five years in traditional small firm practice, I realized the conventional model wasn’t built for everyone — or for me.
I wanted something different: a law practice that values personal connection, honesty, and accessibility as much as professional skill. That vision became Have Bar License – Will Travel, P.A. (HBLWT) — a modern estate planning and probate practice built on integrity, affordability, and service to the people and communities of Florida’s Heartland and Southwest Florida.
Rooted in Faith, Family, and Community
I’m a Christian, a husband to my incredible wife Lillie, and a proud father of four — with one more on the way. We make our home in LaBelle, Florida, where faith, family, and community are at the heart of everything I do.
When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me outdoors — gardening, building, restoring, or simply enjoying the beauty of Florida’s Heartland. I’m also an amateur football enthusiast, avid biker, and occasional home chef who loves spending time with my best friend — my wife, Lillie.
During football season, I take to the mic as “The Voice of the LaBelle Cowboys,” now entering my seventh year calling play-by-play for LaBelle High School Varsity Football on WAFCFM.com.
