Estate planning is a strategic endeavor that involves organizing and overseeing your assets and affairs, ensuring the effective execution of your wishes during your life and after your passing. It encompasses a comprehensive strategy to safeguard your legacy, support your loved ones, and mitigate potential legal, financial, and emotional complications.
In the process of estate planning, you can implement legal documents, including a will to outline the distribution of your assets among beneficiaries. A power of attorney designates a trusted person to manage your financial and legal matters if needed. Health care directives, such as a health care surrogate and a living will, define who should make medical choices on your behalf and your preferences regarding medical interventions.
More intricate estate plans may incorporate trusts, which offer advantages like asset protection, tax optimization, and controlled asset allocation to heirs. An irrevocable trust can safeguard assets from creditors and minimize estate taxes, while a revocable trust streamlines asset management and distribution without probate proceedings.
Estate planning takes into account your individual circumstances, including family dynamics, financial aspirations, and charitable objectives. It guarantees that your intentions are honored, minimizes potential beneficiary conflicts, and instills a sense of security for both you and your family. Collaborating with legal and financial experts is crucial to crafting a tailored estate plan that aligns with your desires and safeguards your financial and personal welfare.
HBLWT strongly advises all individuals to seek guidance from a qualified estate planning attorney before relying on any information provided and emphasizes that the principles of HBLWT Full Disclosure are applicable.
Estate planning can be prohibitively expensive and feel very overwhelming when trying to work within the traditional estate planning process. The traditional process involves locating a local estate planner, conforming to their business hours, visiting their office, and typically dealing with high fees. Matt recognized a need for a more efficient approach. That's why HBLWT was designed as a refreshingly simple and convenient approach that puts you in control and then added the ability to offer it completely remote.
THREE STEP PROCESS
The HBLWT Estate Planning System (HBLWT EPS) is a streamlined three-step process designed to ensure comprehensive and personalized estate planning for every client.
1. REMOTE ZOOM CONSULTATION
Step 1 involves a remote Zoom (or phone) consultation where Matt and you will discuss your unique circumstances, goals, and concerns. This serves as the foundation for tailoring your estate plan to your specific needs. You will schedule this consultation on our website below. Don’t worry, it is a simple process! Take advantage of our flexible 8am-8pm availability, and limited weekend availability. The consultation requires payment and Engagement Agreement execution. HBLWT will provide client instructions for accessing consultation.
2. INVOLVED DOCUMENT DRAFTING
Step 2 encompasses the detailed drafting of your documents, utilizing advanced drafting software. HBLWT will stay in close communication to address any questions that arise during this phase, ensuring accuracy and alignment with your wishes. You agree to remain in contact with HBLWT to ensure timely completion of your planning.
After documents are complete, HBLWT will provide electronic drafts of documents to you for review prior to signing to ensure accuracy with your wishes.
3. DOCUMENT EXECUTION (REMOTE OR IN-PERSON)
In Step 3, HBLWT facilitates the seamless execution of your estate planning documents. This can be done remotely or in-person, based on your preference. HBLWT prioritizes your convenience and confidence throughout the process, ensuring that your estate plan reflects your desires and safeguards your legacy effectively.
